After getting abused in Indianapolis on Saturday, the Celtics rebounded with a big win in Houston Tuesday night, beating the Rockets 103-99. While Ray Allen led all scorers with 29 points, it was Kendrick Perkins who fueled the victory. Perk finished with 15 points, 7 rebounds, 4 blocks, and flat-out dominated Yao Ming all night (Yao finished with 8 points on 4-14 shooting). The C's finally got out of their shooting funk, shooting 52% from the floor, while also making some clutch free throws down the stretch. Five Celtics scored in double-figures. KG contributed a double-double (14 points and 11 rebounds), Pierce added 13 points (and 9 rebounds), and Rondo 10 points (with 7 rebounds and 7 assists). The Celtics finish out their road trip tomorrow night in Oklahoma City against the Thunder. Add your comment |
