Gary Tanguay, speaking on Comcast Sports Net, says that, through a source, Rasheed Wallace is on his way to Boston. He apparently has a reliable source, but it obviously cannot be revealed. Michael Felger, on WEEI's Dale and Holley Show, confirmed that Tanguay does indeed have a credible source.

If true, then this would be a really nice signing for the Celts. While I don't particularly care for his offense (too many 3s), he does spread the floor well, and certainly adds the length they need on defense. Seeing as he can back up Perk and KG, he'd be likely to see pretty solid minutes, too. On top of that, if Boston signs him, that means that Cleveland, San Antonio, Orlando, and any other contender, cannot.

Of course, if you read this, it may just be mere speculation on Tanguay's part.

Just so you know - free agents cannot sign until July 8th. Negotiations can begin on July 1st.
